Promoting Student Understanding of Occupation-Centered Practice and Updated Inter-Rater Reliability of the Occupation-Centered Intervention Assessment

The Occupation-Centered Intervention Assessment (OCIA) was developed as a reflective tool for students to improve their comprehension of occupation-centered practice. Finding new and innovative ways incorporate assignments can serve strategy develop student integration practice allow educators appraise comprehension. purpose this study evaluate understanding by utilizing various statistical analyses, including updated inter-rater reliability, the OCIA using assignments. Utilizing methodological approach, 121 first-year analyzed 10 physical rehabilitation videos rate interventions level occupation-centeredness. Overall, demonstrated good agreement (α =.864), indicating has reliability with first year students. Individual aggregate scores standard deviations provided valuable information course instructors threshold concepts reinforce throughout program. use facilitates application reasoning be woven into didactic curricula learning tool.
